Introduction to Meditation
February 5, 2022 | 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The activity of zazen (Japanese for “seated meditation”) lies at the very heart of Zen Buddhist practice and reflects the boundless wisdom of Shakyamuni Buddha’s enlightenment thousands of years ago. This subtle and profound practice has the power to uproot delusion, but navigating the challenges produced by our conditioned minds is no easy task. In this workshop, Anthony Nentetsu Yuschak will present the foundational principles of zazen, provide participants with detailed instruction, and allow ample time for questions and discussion.
The suggested donation for this event is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Please register by February 4 by completing the registration form and making payment through the Soji PayPal site (please select the “sending to a friend” option so that payment can be recieved without fee).
This is a hybrid event and will be offered both in-person and virtually. If you plan to attend the workshop virtually, please check the appropriate box in the registration form and a Zoom link will be provided on February 4.
To ensure everyone’s safety, Soji is requesting full vaccination and booster shots against COVID-19 for all Soji-sponsored events. All in-person practitioners must email a picture of their vaccination cards as proof of vaccination to email@example.com prior to their in-person visit.
