Fusatsu

Monday, Jan. 12 | 7:00 p.m.

Fusatsu is an ancient Buddhist chanting and bowing ceremony of atonement, purification and renewal of vows. “Fusatsu” means “to continue good practice,” or “to stop unwholesome action (karma).” Fusatsu can provide us with the opportunity to acknowledge our karmic entanglements and obscurations. Led by one of Soji’s priests, Fusatsu can be experienced on many different levels and speaks about six forms of reverence: training, heedfulness, hospitality, and reverence for the buddha, dharma, and sangha. All members and visitors are welcome to attend the ceremony.

This hybrid offering is available for in-person or virtual attendance. Please fill out the registration form, indicating if your attendance will be in-person or online. Registrants attending online will be provided a Zoom link prior to the event. A $10 (member) or $15 (non-member) donation is welcome and can be made via cash or check (preferred) to: “Soji-Dedicated to the Study of Soto Zen Buddhism Inc.” or by using PayPal.
